In the corners of the city, two young men create with their paintbrushes, crafting works that wander between reality and fantasy. They are the creative duo FAF. Heco and Jum’s collaborative work is mainly focused on colorful and vibrant illustrations of women, drawing inspiration from pop music to fashion culture. We had the chance to talk with FAF and dive into their creative lives.
In their creative process, Heco and Jum each have their strengths and are each other’s solid support. Heco’s brush gives FAF’s works their soul, while Jum handles social media management, production execution, and product design. “Every theme we create starts with a joint discussion before we begin implementing it.” Though they have distinct roles, they always start each project together from the very beginning.
They have a deep love for fashion and have been greatly influenced by the work of fashion legends like Vivienne Westwood and Demna. Just like Elsa Schiaparelli and Dalí’s collaborations, in their world, art and fashion are inseparable. “Any medium can be powerful, and the works that inspire us show the same energy.” Their brand, Moonshines Everything, also draws inspiration from street style, infusing pure self-expression into every piece.
Looking to the future, Heco and Jum aim to showcase their talents in more fields. “In recent years, we’ve been creating works in different mediums, hoping that the spirit of our work can reach into daily life.” Starting from illustration, they have explored animation, clothing accessories, and doll models. Their next step will be the release of a tarot card deck they’ve designed, which will be launched in mid-August alongside an exhibition—a highly anticipated event.
Through our conversation with FAF, it’s clear they have a deep dedication to their work. Every piece they create is an extension of their spirit, with every detail reflecting a fragment of their soul.
What’s your idea of a Bold Look?
FAF (@fingerandfish): “Wearing one of our oversized T-shirts with a 60cm-long print—definitely eye-catching. Pair it with loose jeans or Jorts. As long as you feel comfortable and at ease, your inner charm will naturally shine through.”
